Wind power in Ghana (1980s)

The first wind-powered electricity generator built in Ghana by Stephen Owusu Mensah in the 1980s is the story that led to the formation of the DDN.Global concept—to enhance the hidden potentials in our youth in all diversity.

As an organization, DDN works to facilitate collaboration and partnership between individuals and organizations in the diaspora and in Africa, with the aim of promoting economic development and social change. Our approach is based on the principles of participatory development, which emphasizes the active involvement and engagement of all stakeholders in the development process.
